Joint venture Petrolera Kaki

Currently, the Petrolera Kaki joint venture operates the Kaki, Bucaral, Santa Fe, and Cantaura fields, which were discovered in the 1950s by Mene Grande Oil Company and Socony Vacuum Oil Company.

In 1997, during the third round of Operating Agreements, the consortium formed by Arco, Inelectra, and Polar won the tender to operate the Kaki field, and the company Inemaka, S.A. was established. (Inepetrol), which would act as an operator between 1997 and 2007. In that period, approximately US$162.34 million was invested in 3D seismic, drilling 22 wells, and construction of two flow stations and a compressor plant.

Oil and Gas
The Kaki, Bucaral, Santa Fe, and Cantaura field fields have proven reserves of 35 million barrels of light oil with a gravity of 45° API and extractable reserves of natural gas liquids (NGL). C3, C4, and C5 are estimated at 3.5 million barrels.
Joint Venture
Petrolera Kaki S.A is a mixed company created in 2006. The property is divided between the Venezuelan Petroleum Corporation (CVP) with 60%, Inepetrol with 22.67%, and Inversiones Polar with 17.33%.
Development Plan
The development strategy is based on the comprehensive exploitation of crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids (NGL). This involves extracting NGL using a dedicated plant and reinjecting methane gas into the S2-KG1 field to maintain pressure and optimize long-term resource recovery.
